Pricing
Zil Studio prices design work two ways: brand systems as fixed-scope projects starting at $4,500, and ongoing studio partnerships as monthly retainers from $1,200. Smaller standalone pieces start at $1,200. Every price below is real and current as of 2026. No discovery call required to see them.

One deliverable, one format, up to one page or artboard. Two size variants of the same design count as one additional item.
Decks over 10 slides, packaging dielines, 3D, multi-page print, web pages, and catalogs. Scoped in writing when the request starts. Short Run and above, never on Proof.
Business days to first version. The clock starts when the brief is complete in the portal, and each revision round restarts it.
Compare it to the alternative
An in-house designer in Florida costs roughly $58,000–70,000 in salary. Add payroll tax, benefits, equipment, and Adobe licenses and the real number is closer to $6,000–7,500 a month, for one person, with one skill set, who takes holidays and has to be managed.
Most companies don’t need a full-time designer. They need reliable senior output, which is a different thing and costs less.
Founding partner pricing
20% off list, locked for 12 months.
The studio is opening monthly partnerships to ten clients at a founding rate. You take a risk on a service model with a short track record; in exchange your rate is locked for a year and doesn’t move when list pricing does. When the ten are filled, the rate closes.

Not sure a retainer fits? Buy two weeks. Real deliverables, real turnaround, and you find out how the studio works before committing to anything monthly. If you continue, the full $950 credits against your first month.
Start a pilotPay for a year up front and get ten months’ rate for twelve. Best value available, and it’s the only discount that stacks with founding pricing.

Questions, answered straight
Why do you publish prices when most studios don’t?
Because hiding them wastes both our time. If $14,000 isn’t the right number for you, you should know that in ten seconds, not after a discovery call and a proposal. Published pricing also means I’m not quoting you differently than the client before you.
Are these prices negotiable?
The scope is negotiable. The rate isn’t. If the budget is fixed, we cut scope to fit it and I’ll tell you honestly what gets weaker as a result.
What’s the difference between a retainer and a project?
A project has a defined endpoint and deliverable list, so you’re buying a finished thing. A retainer has no endpoint, so you’re buying ongoing capacity. Companies with continuous output (packaging, campaigns, listings, events) almost always spend less on a retainer than on a series of projects.
Do you require a contract or minimum term?
No minimum term on retainers. Thirty days’ notice to cancel. Projects are covered by a standard agreement with a 50% deposit and 50% on delivery.
What happens if I need more than my tier allows?
You can upgrade mid-month and only pay the difference, or add a one-off project alongside the retainer. I’ll tell you which is cheaper for you.
Do you work with small budgets?
Sometimes. If you’re under $1,200 the honest answer is that a template or a marketplace designer will serve you better, and I’ll say so. When budget is tight but the work matters, tell me the number and I’ll tell you what’s actually possible.
What counts as an item?
One deliverable, in one format, up to one page or artboard. Resizing the same design into a second format counts as one more item. Decks over 10 slides, packaging dielines, 3D, multi-page print, web pages, and catalogs are complex items: they get a scoped timeline agreed in writing before work starts, and they run on Short Run and above, never on Proof.
Can I pause my partnership?
Yes, in one-week blocks, any time. Your subscription extends by however long you paused, so you don’t lose what you paid for. Nothing rolls over, though, so pausing is the honest way to handle a slow month rather than banking unused items.
What’s the difference between Identity + Site and Brand System + Website?
Scale. Identity + Site gives you a mark, a small system, and a 5–7 page site, which is enough for a local or single-location business to look established. Positioning, naming, and full brand applications across print and digital are only in the Brand System track. If you’re between the two, tell me what the business has to win and I’ll tell you which one it is.
Tell me what you’re building.
Send the project. You’ll get a real answer within one business day, including whether I think you should spend the money at all.
