Accessibility Statement

Yoni Zil LLC is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including visitors who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnification, voice control, or who are sensitive to motion.

Accessibility is a design problem, and this is a design studio. It is treated the same way as any other part of the work: something to get right, not something added at the end.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for making web content more accessible to people with disabilities. They are published at three levels: A, AA and AAA.

This site aims to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. It has not been independently audited, so conformance is stated as partial: most of the site meets the standard, and the gaps known today are listed below.

What has been done

• Color contrast. Every text and background pairing in the palette has been checked. Body text on the page background measures roughly 14:1, muted text 5.5:1, and link text 4.9:1. The brand orange is deliberately never used for text on a light background, because it only reaches 2.5:1 there; a darker orange is used instead.
• Reduced motion. All entrance animations, hover movement and the animated heading are disabled automatically when your system is set to reduce motion.
• Text, not images of text. All headings and body copy are real text, and can be resized, selected or read aloud.
• Headings and landmarks. Pages use a single H1 and a logical heading order, with header, main and footer landmarks.
• Color is never the only cue. Links and interactive elements are also distinguished by weight, underline or border.
• Keyboard access. Navigation, buttons and the mobile menu can be operated without a mouse, and a visible focus outline is retained.
• Self-hosted typefaces. Fonts are served from this site’s own server rather than a third-party font service, so text renders reliably and does not depend on an outside provider loading.

Known limitations

Being straight about what is not finished:

• The site is still being built. Sections added after this statement was written may not yet have been checked to the same standard.
• Third-party embeds. Anything served by an outside provider, such as a map, a review widget or a video player, is outside the studio’s direct control, and its accessibility depends on that provider. Where an embed cannot be made accessible, the same information is given in text.
• Documents. Files supplied by clients, and any document offered for download, may not be fully tagged for screen readers. Ask and an accessible version will be provided.
• Portfolio images. Photographs of printed material, packaging and signage show designed artwork whose text is part of the image. Where the specific content matters, it is also described in the surrounding text.

Compatibility

This site is built to work with current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari, on desktop and mobile, and is tested against VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, NVDA on Windows, and TalkBack on Android.

It may not behave correctly in browsers more than two major versions out of date. With JavaScript disabled, core content and navigation remain readable.

Technical specifications

Accessibility here relies on HTML, CSS and JavaScript working together with your browser and any assistive technology you use. WAI-ARIA is used only where native HTML cannot express the required semantics.

How this site is assessed

Yoni Zil LLC evaluated this website by self-evaluation, carried out during the build and repeated whenever the site changes substantially. That means contrast checked against the palette, every template navigated by keyboard alone, and screen reader spot checks on the pages people actually use: home, services, pricing and contact.

No independent third-party audit has been carried out. If one is commissioned, this statement will be updated to say so.

If you are not satisfied

If you report an accessibility barrier and are not happy with the response, you can escalate it. In the United States, the Department of Justice Civil Rights Division accepts complaints under the Americans with Disabilities Act at ada.gov. In the European Union or the United Kingdom, contact the national body responsible for enforcing web accessibility in your country.

Legal context

This statement is made in the spirit of the Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, and WCAG 2.2 Level AA. It describes intent and current status. It is not a legal guarantee of conformance, and it does not create rights or obligations beyond those that already apply under law.
