Eleven years of getting it right the first time

I’m Yoni Zilberman. I started this studio in 2015, and since then I’ve designed for defense manufacturers, cannabis producers, real estate developers, restaurants, an international art gallery, and a foreign government’s state offices.

That range isn’t a lack of focus. It’s the thing that makes the work good.

Designing compliant cannabis packaging teaches you constraint. Designing for defense teaches you precision and what happens when a claim doesn’t survive scrutiny. Designing menus teaches you that people decide in four seconds. Every category taught me something I now bring to the others.

How the studio works now

For most of the last decade I did every hour of every project myself. That’s still true of the thinking: strategy, direction, and final review are mine on every engagement. But the studio now has production capacity behind me, which means a six-SKU packaging run doesn’t wait in a queue behind someone’s business cards. You get senior judgment with the throughput of a team.

Languages

Where

North Port, Florida, in Sarasota County. Local clients across Venice, Englewood, Sarasota, and Port Charlotte. Previously Las Vegas, where several clients are still with the studio, including Botach, whose e-commerce and catalog work runs continuously. Everyone else remote, which is most of the work: Chicago, Washington D.C., New York, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem.

What I care about

Work that survives production. A file that looks incredible on screen and falls apart on press isn’t design, it’s a rendering. Eleven years in prepress-adjacent work has made me unreasonable about this, and clients tend to be glad about it around the time the shipment arrives.

Where the work goes

One studio in Sarasota County, Florida, and clients in seven places across two countries. Most of the work is remote, which is why a packaging run for Las Vegas and a capability deck for Tel Aviv can be on the same board in the same week.
